Recruitment & Applications / Re: Raiding application - SideDrewler (PENDING)

Hello again!

Thanks for the Reply.

1. I guess as it will show up as Cquenza that should be within the naming policy rules.

2. Oh that's good, either are fine and if you keep their healing offspec up to date that will be helpful too.

3. Ah good!

Please contact one of the officers when you are ready to have a character invited!

Regards,

Recruitment & Applications / Re: Raiding application - SideDrewler (PENDING)

Hello Feraanir

Thank you for the quick answer.

1)  I did not get a warning when I changed my name on the realm. But my real WOW name has always been CQuenza. SideDrewler is just my Twitch name. So I can easily use CQuenza again if it´s ok  :)

2)  I don´t mind going DPS. It can be shadow priest, or an elemental shammy I have tucked away ;)

3)  I will post a screeenie of my UI when I´ve had a chance to set it all up again properly. I can do that through dungeons etc.

So until I qualify for raiding I will be happy to be a social member :)

Regards

CQuenza aka SideDrewler  ;)

Hi SideDrewler,

Thanks for the application!

Couple of things...

Firstly, your character name, two word names are against the realms RP naming policy, if/when you faction change would this be something you are willing to change? (Naming policy can be found here)

Secondly, as you've probably seen, recruitment is effectively closed barring real life friends of those already in our ranks. As such, our healer roster is  currently rather full, so much so that I occasionally have to go DPS. Is playing DPS in raids something that you would be willing to do? As a healing spot would only really be available when the others cannot make a raid.

And finally as you've stated your gear is very low atm, to be eligible to join our raids we would ask that you get yourself to around 400ilvl as we get straight in to heroic rather than normal difficulty.

If you could also post a screenie of your raid UI when you get a chance that would be helpful!

In the mean time we would be happy to accept you as a social applicant while you decide about the above?

Best Regards,
Feraanir

Recruitment & Applications / Raiding application - SideDrewler [ACCEPTED]
« Last post by SideDrewler on July 18, 2019, 12:33:00 pm »
1. What is your character's name, level, class, spec and off-spec? Please provide a link to your profile on the armory.

My char is currently an undead shadow priest (for soloing quests) lvl 120 on Argent Dawn EU RP. If accepted I will obviously change faction and respec to holy (maybe disc).

http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/argent-dawn/SideDrewler/advanced

2. What activities or goals do you focus on in World of Warcaft?

One of the main reasons I play WOW, is to participate in a community. I am a healer by heart, and I have always enjoyed keeping guildies alive while they do what they are good at. I like to level chars, do dungeons and raids, and to enjoy the game content. But it all comes down to the community. Being part of something is what makes it fun in the end. I don´t chase achievements, and don´t do role playing or pet battles. From time to time I do a little PVP, but to be honest, I kinda suck at it.

3. How did you find out about our guild? Do you know anyone in the guild who would vouch for your application?

I was "introduced" to the guild by my real life buddies Taliesin and Evitel.

4. Have you applied to any other guilds right now? Do you play any characters in other guilds and/or on other servers?

No, I am currently guildless and do not play on other servers... apart from participating in the Classic Beta  :)

5. Please tell us a about yourself. How old are you? Do you go to school or do you have job? How did you get into World of Warcraft? Which days of the week or times of the day are you usually online? Do any of your family or friends play the game? If you prefer not to share personal information on a public forum it's not a problem.

I am 44 years old and married. I have twin girls (8 years old). I am an IT automation specialist, and I have worked with Microsoft products as a teacher/consultant for 23 years.

I started playing WOW when the open beta came out back in the day. I played most of the time on Khadgar, and was an officer for many years in a guild called "Little Guild of Horrors". Around 6 years ago, I stopped playing for some time because the guild died, and my girls were getting older. I´ve been back in the game for about 3-4 years, but missed out on the raiding stuff, as the realm is not that good anymore, and I didn´t find a decent guild.

If I am part of a great community, I´m usually around most days when the wife has gone to bed. I should be able to raid at least 2 times a week. I can arrange my private stuff to fit with the raiding schedule. As I mentioned earlier, for me the guild is the bread and butter of the game. I played the game back in the day where you had no chance if you didn´t team up and made friends. As long as the guild is a friendly place with friendly people I´m happy. I don´t need to get a raid spot every time. I can have a laugh and a good time just being part of a great community.

6. Do you like pie? If you do, which kind is your favourite?

Who doesn´t like some nice apple or cherry pie with a little cream on top  :)

7. Optional: If you're not into role playing it's not a problem and you may skip this part. If you're into role playing and would like to add an In Character application please do so here.
For example: if you'd like to get your character invited to the guild In Character please write a short In Character letter addressed to Garnath. Explain who your character is and why your character would like to join Immortalis. If you've already met some of our members you could write about that too.

RAIDING

If you're not sure how to answer certain questions just say so. We don't bite. Much.

8. If you have an off-spec, how well geared are you for that spec?

Only questing gear atm. (hence not being in a guild for a long time). If accepted, I will run some dungeons to quickly improve as much as I can.

9. Our raid team raids from 2000hrs server time to 2300hrs server time on Thursdays and Sundays. Can you make both raids every week?

Yes

10. Please explain in short what benefits your class & specs can bring to a raid? What consumables do you use for raiding?

As stated earlier, I am a healer by heart. I have always been a holy priest in raids. Some mechanincs has changed, so now it´s sometimes fruitful to go disc. I am not fussed. I do what is best for the raid. I used to use consumables to boost my int and spirit.

11. What is your raiding experience? Which bosses have you cleared in Normal, Heroic or Mythic Mode? What was your progress through raids in previous expansions, if any, and did you raid those when they were relevant?
Have you switched raiding mains or your mainspec for this expansion?

I have done all the major raids from 2004 to approx 2013.

12. If available please provide World of Logs / WarcraftLogs / Mr.Robot links or link screenshots (for example Recount or Skada) of your raid performance in this expansion.

I haven´t raided this expansion.

13. Please link a screenshot of your User Interface during a raid. A screenshot of your character attacking target dummies is not acceptable. We want to see your UI during raid combat - step into LFR if you need to.

I am currently not at my computer, so I can´t provide that atm. I will make it for you if requested later.

Instructions for linking screenshots
You can use imgur, which is super easy and you don't need to have an account. Take a screenshot of your UI with the Prt Scr button on your keyboard. Visit imgur.com. Click Computer at the top right under Upload and browse to your \World of Warcraft\Screenshots folder and select the correct screenshot. Click Start Upload. Copy the address that's now in your address bar of your browser and paste it into your application. Remember to copy the Deletion Link at the bottom right if you want to be able to delete that screenshot from imgur later!
Make a copy of your application before you hit Submit in case something goes wrong.

1. What is your character's name, realm, level, class and spec?

Gidday! I'm Eloelle, a beautiful dwarven princess. Also a holy paladin.

https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/character/eu/defias-brotherhood/eloelle

2. What activities or goals do you focus on in World of Warcaft?

I loved raiding back in the day and stick mostly to PvE content. I'm hoping that this application will open the doors to some Mythic dungeons and the like.

3. How did you find out about our guild? Do you know anyone in the guild who would vouch for your application?

The story goes that when I was a wee naive youngster and had just moved onto the EU servers, a friend had recommended Argent Dawn due to the concentration of RP players (a facet of the game I quite enjoyed at the time). I made a character there but never progressed it much past level 1 as the drive for progression and high-end content led me down a different path. Once I decided to return to the game for BfA and found the guild I had been a part of for so many years had all but disbanded I decided it would be a good time to finally make the move over to AD. I used the WoWProgress site to gauge which guilds had social recruitment and then checked out their websites. Your guild stood out as a popular and active one that has fitting interests.

I've spoken a fair bit to Austrel/Insinc and they have said they would vouch for me.

4. Please tell us a about yourself. How old are you? Do you go to school or do you have job? How did you get into World of Warcraft? Which days of the week or times of the day are you usually online? Do any of your family or friends play the game? If you prefer not to share personal information on a public forum it's not a problem.

I'm a 29 year-old (shudder) Kiwi expat living in Europe. I've been playing the franchise since Warcraft 3 came out and was in the beta testing for Vanilla many moons ago. Due to my origins in NZ I've had a split 'career' in WoW across both US and EU realms, I raided pretty full noise on Mal'Ganis US with a few guilds and then joined an equally well-known (albeit for different reasons) guild on EU. Bounced back and forth between them whilst I moved around the world until I had to call it quits. I currently work as an airline pilot for a large European carrier, which makes my hours quite unsociable and irregular (and raiding on a fixed schedule impossible). Largely my online hours are weekday daytimes as my partner doesn't play the game.

5. What are you looking for in a guild?
Somewhere where Pink Floyd's 'Is there anybody out there?' couldn't play on repeat for weeks at a time. Just a like-minded bunch of people to enjoy the game with. As I said before I've never had the chance to truly experience mythic dungeon content so if that comes about, awesome, but no stress if not.

6. Do you like pie? If you do, which kind is your favourite?
You can't beat a kiwi pie! If you've never been to NZ let me tell ya we do the meanest savoury handheld pies known to man. Steak and cheese is my favourite but y'know I could always do a mince and cheese too if we wanted to throwback to mum's cooking. Just make sure you always blow on the pie! Safer communities together.

Recruitment & Applications / Social Application - Blinke [ACCEPTED]
« Last post by Blinke on July 10, 2019, 09:04:12 pm »
1. What is your character's name, realm, level, class and spec? Blinke, Argent Dawn, 113, hunter, beastmaster.

Code: [Select]
https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/character/eu/argent-dawn/Blinke

2. What activities or goals do you focus on in World of Warcaft?
Im not too sure yet, But think ill like to raid on the long turn. Right now im just lvling and getting to know the game again.
For example: you focus on alts and enjoy levelling multiple characters or you focus on raiding normal and heroic modes, challenge mode dungeons, battlegrounds and arena, professions and playing the auction house, completing achievements, role playing, pet battles or a combination of things. We like to get an idea of how you play the game to see if it matches up with how we play the game.

3. How did you find out about our guild? Do you know anyone in the guild who would vouch for your application?
We are interested in knowing which of our ways of recruiting are effective.
I know Allan Nielsen. I needed a guild because its been a long time since I last played the game, and talk to allan since he talk about being in an active and fun guild :)

4. Please tell us a about yourself. How old are you? Do you go to school or do you have job? How did you get into World of Warcraft? Which days of the week or times of the day are you usually online? Do any of your family or friends play the game? If you prefer not to share personal information on a public forum it's not a problem.
We are interested in knowing a bit more about the player behind the character(s).
My name is Louise and im 28 years old. I dont have a job because of some health problems. I guess im mostly online at nighttimes, but can be at any time. I started playing WOW 10 years ago with my dad, but he doesnt play any more.

5. What are you looking for in a guild?
We'd like to know more about your expectations and interests, so that we can figure out if there's something we can provide as a community or provide in the future.
I like to raid and just have people to talk to while i play :)

6. Do you like pie? If you do, which kind is your favourite?
Just a silly question. We use your answer for your initial guild note if you end up joining the guild. If you're more into cake, we won't judge you.
Rhubarb pie :)

7. OPTIONAL: If you're into Role Playing and would like to add an In Character application please do so here.
For example: if you'd like to get your character invited to the guild In Character please write a short In Character letter addressed to Kazyra. Explain who your character is and why your character would like to join Immortalis. If you've already met some of our members you could write about that too.
